The Port of Baltimore is closer to the Midwest than any other Atlantic seaport and is less than a 90 minute drive from Washington County. The Virginia Inland Port at Front Royal, VA (48 miles south of Hagerstown) serves the region as an interface between truck and rail for the transport of ocean-going containers to and from the Port of Norfolk, VA.
