Mr. Frederic M. Frederick Joins the EDC Board
The Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission (EDC) announces a new appointment to its Board of Directors.
The Commission welcomes Mr. Frederic M. Frederick to the Board of Directors as a City of Hagerstown representative. He will serve the unexpired term of R. Michael Deming, ending June 30, 2010, at which time Mr. Frederick will be eligible for reappointment to serve his first three-year term. Mr. Deming served on the EDC Board since 2007.
Mr. Frederick is the president and partner of Frederick, Seibert and Associates, Inc., a local civil engineering, surveying and landscape architecture firm headquartered in Hagerstown, Maryland since 1941. Frederick, Seibert and Associates also has an office in Franklin County, Pennsylvania and provides their services to both the private and public sectors in four states including Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Mr. Frederick graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with degrees in surveying technology and civil engineering and has served on various boards and leadership positions within the community including the Lion’s Club, Chamber of Commerce, GAF Foundation, American Society of Civil Engineers and the Maryland Society of Surveyors. He also serves as a director on Tower Bancorp’s Board of Directors.
“The EDC looks forward to Mr. Frederick’s leadership and his assistance in providing infrastructure development and engineering viewpoints to the Commission,” said Timothy R. Troxell, CEcD, EDC executive director. “The EDC staff and board join me in welcoming Mr. Frederick onto our team.”
The
Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission is a county agency that provides assistance to new and expanding businesses throughout Hagerstown and Washington County, Maryland. The EDC interacts with a vast network of public, private and nonprofit organizations to address the business needs of the community, as well as attract new companies to the county. Other members of the Board of Directors currently serving include Jeffrey A. Cline; Gary L. Davis; Robert E. Ernst, II; Timothy Henry; Robert C. Jeffers; James D. Lobley; Hal Lucas; Stuart L. Mullendore; Shelby Penn; John L. Schnebly; and, Richard Seibert. Ex-officio members include the Honorable Kristin B. Aleshire; the Honorable Martin E. Brubaker; Deborah Everhart; Robert Garver; and, Richard W. Phoebus, Sr.
In addition to Troxell, the EDC staff includes Robin L. Ferree, Deputy Director; Sarah J. Lankford, Marketing Specialist; Robert P. Mandley, Project Coordinator; Susan M. Buchanan, Fiscal/Research Specialist; and, Linda Spence, Administrative Assistant.
