(Hagerstown, MD – January 22, 2009) – Biotechnology is one of the EDC’s targeted industries for future economic growth in Washington County. The Herald-Mail recently featured a twelve-article series, Business of Biotech, which highlights the progress made by Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) and Hagerstown Community College (HCC) in establishing a biotech presence and preparing the local workforce for existing and future opportunities.
