The relationship between education and business in the Hagerstown-Washington County community is very important. With more than 30 institutions of higher learning within a 70-mile radius of Hagerstown, our area offers an array of educational opportunities to the workforce.

Investment in the local public education system is also paying large dividends. According to U.S. News and World Report National Rankings, 23% of Maryland’s Best High Schools are in Washington County. There are also 26 private schools located in Washington County.
