Washington County Technical High School

Washington County Technical High School is a two-year technical school that prepares students for careers in 15 different career and technology programs. These career and technology programs meet college standards for instruction, with articulate college credits being awarded upon successful completion. Over 170 business partners bring the real world to the classroom by providing summer employment for teachers and students, guest speakers for classes, field trips, student internships, and cooperative work experience.

Barr Construction Institute

Barr Construction Institute, the educational arm of the Associated Builders & Contractors, is committed to developing a safe workplace and a high-performance workforce through quality education and training. They offer craft, maintenance, and apprenticeship training in the carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing fields. In addition, they offer continuing education, management education, professional development, and safety training. Construction and maintenance training is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training, and is accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research.
